| Nugget was Blondie's Mom (Marsha). She went to the Rainbow Bridge, February 2002, at 8 years old, from Kidney Failure caused by medication. She earned numerous titles. |
Kelly was born Feb. 1993 and went to the
Rainbow Bridge Mar 29, 2006.
She was 13 years old. She was adopted
from the animal shelter when she was 10
months old, and quickly adapted to the
family. She thought everybody who came
to the house, came for the soul purpose of
seeing her. Mom, Gail, says Kelly will stay
in their hearts forever.

A Change of Season

There has always been warmth in your
touch,
Through every passing night and day.
In rain and shine with equal joy,
you always were nearby.
You were never far from home it seems
because your heart was always with me.
Every step I took no matter where it
went,
there you would follow closely.
Just walking with you in the morning
has filled my life with joy.
Every step we took together was
inspiring to both dog and boy.
In recent days you have held me close
to keep me safe from fear.
But just last night you let me know
that it was my time to be near.
Today is a new day, not nearly as warm
where the leaves have almost gone.
Every step I take reminds me of the
steps we took before.
The season is no longer bright
as days are yielding to night.
I remember all those seasons before
where you loved playing in the light.
The world around me is moving along
as if everything is alright.
Yet I will not ever forget how much
your warmth has touched my heart.
In every breath, in every step, in every
passing glance to me,
You lived your seasons, many there
were,
in unyielding, totally devoted love to me.
Springtime will arrive again soon
to warm our faces once more.
Your warmth has touched our lives so
much,
it seems Summer is evermore.
